During July and August, the NAVIGO National Fisheries Museum opens part of the museum to the public. You can visit the aquariums, admire the room of the museum ship OD1 Martha and the Angels of the Sea by photographer Stephan Vanfleteren. All free! From Tuesday to Sunday, each time from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Be sure to book your visit in advance!
In 2023 we will welcome you with open arms in our brand new museum!

A sperm whale is moving into the NAVIGO museum!

The doors of NAVIGO-museum will remain closed for the time being. After all, a sperm whale is moving in! The skeleton of Saint André's Valentine will soon return to Koksijde and this will have far-reaching consequences for the NAVIGO-museum. In order to display the 17-metre skeleton, more space is needed. And that's why the museum is closing. The opening of the new museum is planned in the course of 2023. In the meantime, the previously planned construction of a new depository and demonstration kitchen will also be taking place.
